I experimentally put a few pins back up on Etsy at the inflated prices needed to cover both the new USA tariffs and the increased etsy fees (bc Etsy takes a cut ALSO out of shipping and the additional tariffs charge lmao what a rort). We'll see if I still get any sales or if it's full dead to me now. :D;;

oof yeah bulky stuff like fur suit parts would be a nightmare! It's already difficult and expensive to ship but then tariffs on top and the uncertainty of whether things will even arrive... ;_; That's why I'm not willing to put more than stickers and pins on etsy atm :/
I'm usually battle hardened in regards to international shipping but yeah, this is a nightmare now indeed. :D
I sadly had to suspend normal shipping of my items, clothing, plushies and similar, to the USA. DHL/normal post won't transport them and mis-declaring as "gift" could work but it's a gamble. And also illegal so I don't really want to do that. DHL Express still works but they already want 61€ for a 3cm thick "parcel" which is absolutely ridiculous.
Hopefully things will improve again soon and we can leave this madness era behind us.
yeah I suspended all USA shipping in my shop for a couple months at the end of last year. I've got the tariffs figured out now but I think the additional Etsy charge pushes it over the edge of what customers will accept... But maybe I am wrong. I will be finding out!
At least you can ship around the EU pretty easily? I hear that's a big market! I wish we had more of an art buying population in my part of the world
Yes, EU works and is thankfully completely hassle free within the single market. We should be so thankful for that, but apparently some aren't. Worldwide also worked just ok, well still does sans USA. Which is sad because I had quite a few from there and it all plummeted to zero even before the tariffs. I feel many there simply can't afford things anymore which is just sad. :/
