If AI slop hadn't poisoned all the regular search results so badly, no one would need to ask AIs to answer questions that a simple web search would have answered a few years ago.

It was pretty bad before that thanks to Google and SEO gaming. Every single thing on the net had to have an essay and a billion links to other trash sites. LLM just accelerated that trend. :(

Yeah, AI slop wouldn鈥檛 be so bad if it hadn鈥檛 been trained on fifteen years of SEO ad-bait.
