February 6, 2026. Gardening report. Winter season pruning of our apple trees is happening. The temperature was a pleasant 1 C in southern Minnesota. There was a lot of growth during the 2025 season. Some of the waterspouts at the crown are two meters long. Pruning can be a time of zen. #gardening, #apples, #Zone4b

Zen, yes. You are at 1 and I am at 40C today - worlds apart. I spent an hour working in the garden where it is shady until the sun pops over the trees. Then you can feel the heat! I am lucky tho. Not matter what time of day there are some areas in my garden that have some shade. I can just move around accordingly.
May you have many apples in the next fruiting season.
