He would be a good choice. Also, JB Pritzker and Chris Murphy are stepping up. The Democrats are heading toward a strong primary campaign.

I will take any Democrat over the Republicans. I lean toward Pritzker but would happily vote for Kelly.

Small amendment: While I would vote for literally any Democrat over, say, JD Vance, I would have to really suppress my gag reflex if they nominate Gavin Newsom.

I chicstellt hope they do not choose Newsom. If Harris was seen by some as a big city candidate and not enough of a commoner, Newsom will be Harris times 10 in this regard.
