As long as I'm giving customer reviews: I just got a hand crank washer, the Wonder Wash, in pink. And just this morning I put it together and tried it. I LOVE IT.
If you feel your conscience ache every time you use your washing machine, wondering "WHY? Why Goddess? WHY must clean clothes come at the cost of so much water and energy?" I tell you, my friends, there is a better way.

Now, look, if you're doing laundry for a family, this will simply not cut it. HOWEVER, it could still be a nice thing just for you if you want to hand wash your delicates.
But it takes like a total of ten minutes to wash things. And you get an arm workout, without it being too hard. I'm actually excited for my mother to use this when she comes to live with me, to help with her mobility.
But it gets your shit clean and uses very little water. And this kind of washing is better on your clothes.
