perlescent ivory keys
against the dull 'sharp
my fingers glide up, then down
the body of this zebras spine.
notes curl.
soft wispy ghosts of
long forgotten sad days.
a little trill comes from a walk in the summer
then a final closing memory from last winter.

piano practice during lunch.
