yeah i gotta admit that macos is much, much easier to use than windows and especially linux. while i currently don't own an apple computer that's less than 10 years old, i'll also admit that the hardware's pretty solid. a laptop is easier for old/er people to understand too and newer macs are fairly locked down security wise.
i do still think the neo is too expensive for what it is, but, like you said, "pick your battles". apple's warranties are usually good too, so
