Q2: unlikely combo

A2: there have been many odd combos as a maker. Most often for cosplay. The primary one that comes to mind is a shampoo bottle + PVC pipe fittings + sculpey to make a prop weapon. (I bought it just for the bottle shape and emptied it into another container to use it for the prop)

Unfortunately I can't find any photos still online. (It wasn't very good, it was the first prop I'd made in ~2003)
